Thank you for viewing my blog page for Vizion Magazine's first fundraiser. The purpose of our fundraiser is to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Mid Michigan Affiliate in Lansing, Michigan. Why do a fundraiser for this organization? I have a close friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer in April of 2008. I began reading statistics on breast cancer after receiving the news that my friend was now requiring treatment for an ailment that never crossed our minds until it was affecting her. What I read was that one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lives.
If you are not familiar with the details on fundraiser, here are the details:
Date: Friday April 19, 2013
Time: 7:30pm with Comedian Mike Stanley starting at 8pm
Place: Connxtions Comedy Club, Lansing, Michigan
Tickets: $15, with $10 from each ticket going to Susan G Komen Mid Michigan.
How to purchase: You can purchase tickets by calling Patrick Monroe at (517) 204-9572.
The first 50 attendees who are breast cancer survivors will receive a pink carnation. If there are any carnations left after the event, then the carnations will be for sale for $1, with $1 going to the Susan G Komen Mid Michigan.
We will be having a 50/50 raffle, as well as prize raffles.
